British Motoring Apparel was founded by Isobel Halliday after the completion of a costume making qualification at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. During a project she was asked to re-make a very old, crumpled, 1950's driving coat that had been found in the derelict stable block of her parents' house by her father.
Since the making of that first coat, more products have been developed for the classic car motoring enthusiasts. As a trained costume maker, Isobel makes all the garments by hand, in her studio in Norwich. We invite you to browse our site to find just what you have been looking for.
